moeyHC wrote:I agree that the dashboard mounts are great stuff. Just that you need extra storage space for it. Not many cars have compartments geared to such 'big size' object. I like to build a customize stand that will be mounted permanently... only down side is that everyone will know of a GPS in my car.... not a good thing! Maybe hide it with a Golf club cover....

Bro Moey, do like what I do, put a baseball-cap over it .. double use, hides your dashboard mount and protects it from the sun-ray ...

You guys can always try Sifu Bern's RM2 GPS mount. Too lazy to find that picture.

The thinking with Taiwan is, small sovereignty (despite what China thinks or does... ) nation with policies on outdoing the big "copycat across the water" with every qik turnover possible but stay smart with technology and by then, losses on R&D plus humongous sales "covered" to move onto next wannabe novelty :-'

While mainland China picks up the tab with cloning & mass sales for wannabes :nehneh: trailing behind who generally are satisfied with older items/versions the market is spurned with until the saturation point is reached beyond recovery and then catch up yet again with that tricky Taiwan on their next hat trick....

The original Garmin holder that supports my 1490TV (similar to yr 1460 dimensions) is used in my cockpit and stays solidly stuck like the Rock of Gibraltar while I use another (rather than buy another from Garmin accessories) by my PC desktop, from a cheapo (abt €4,50 only) iPhone windscreen support I bought online over here. That too holds firmly well in the widescreen setting.

one thing about this mount is that it will leave a "stain" behind on the dashboard from the sticky material it uses

Anyone encounter this before? Any suggestion? Help!

Thanks!
Do like one person I know did. He/She stocked the adhesive disk on the windshield . He/She came to complain to me that it could not be removed. Good night. all.
