Hmm so Bro SB, any other model that you want to recommend to me for mapping? Ya, I found the trick to record the 1 second tracklog, courtesy from Mijan, the senior mapper. Here's the steps (for Nuvi 2465):-

1. At the navigation mode, press the right bottom Speed indicator button. The big screen with the speed indicator, trip A, trip B, max.speed, blah blah blah will come out.
2. Press this indicator for 5 seconds will pop up the Diagnostic Page.
3. Scroll down the Diagnostic Page to Diagnostic Logging and press it.
4. The Engineering Mode: Logging Control screen will display. Here you can choose Start Playback, Start Recording (this is what I want) and Delete Log(s).

Thanks for the heads-up on the Nuvi 2xxx ability to do tracklogs. It also works on the 37xx series. Only thing I do not like about this feature si the Nuvi's ability to lock on to satellites in downtown where there are a lot of tall buildings, thus causing tracking to go "hay-wire" :fire: .. even with external antenna ... Here, handhelds perform much better

I am quite happy with my HcX though the 60CsX is the work-horse except the fact I do not like its external antenna which sticks out like a sore thumb ... :(

The newer 62S is nice if you can afford a little extra $$

That is indeed a fantastic level for viewing from that vantage height. :thumbsup:

One thing to take note though, should a gps screen be placed in a "in-advisable location within the cockpit" like in a low dashboard which is built-in or in an odd spot being obtrusive on the dashboard itself, literally watching and/or paying close attention to such screen guidance during a congested but fast moving carriageway can cause potential road hazards for the less astute multitasker. :shock:

Thanks. I just got it a while ago at perfect watch. Great product. Searching quite fast compared to my old 255w.

Yes you are right Bro SB but I have yet to try with this model. Hope it's much better than the rest. Tested the voice command. Not bad, just sometimes got to repeat few times, may be my pronunciation is not "English" enough. With this voice command, it's considered hands free operation, no voice recording, nothing.

Pairing with handphone via bluetooth works great. I heard someone says it's not clear the conversation from the other end. Just maximise the volume of the unit.

Recording or saving the non-existence POIs is the only issue I face right now as a mapper. Otherwise, it's PERFECT!!
