Download our free map from this link : viewtopic.php?p=194539#p194539

Buy a SD card. Unzip the map file gmapsupp.img. Create a directory /garmin and put the map file into it.

you can install to the internal memory...

Hi, being a newbie and heeding the advice of sifus here to install the map update onto a sd card (so as not to brick the nuvi should something go wrong during the install process), I downloaded the correct map for my nuvi 1460.
I then extracted the map with the correct unlock code, the process went smoothly until the last part where the actual installation takes place. It then said that the nuvi was not plugged into the pc and I could go no further.
How do I get the installation to search for the sd card (which is mounted into a card reader) so that the map can be installed there.
Any help/assistance on this matter will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

current version is malsingmaps mal/sin/brunei NT 2010.20.
can anyone plz help me..

Download map file from this link : viewtopic.php?p=194539#p194539

Unzip map file gmapsupp.img.
Via PC, copy to SD card /garmin directory

Enjoy and please contribute map errors reporting / new POI etc... :thumbsup:

Many thanks for the speedy reply. I would really like to install Malsingmaps Malaysia/Singapore/Brunei NT 2011.30, not MSM NT 5.31.
