I have never had the need to install them so far but I believe you can download as .img file
just load this file into your SD card Garmin or Map folder and use like normal.

As for it being updated or not, I really have no idea.

GPS: garmin nuvi - malsing nt 2010.20
Hi,

My sis brought her garmin 1350 back from Australia and I want to download her aust map into my own SG device with malsing maps. I think I read somewhere the 2 maps can co-exist. But i'm not sure how to do this because the folders look different from my SG garmin.

Garmin - garmindevice.xml is here
Do I copy this file to my device??

Any known issues??

Any help is appreciated!!

The new Nuvis can handle as many maps as your SD card will hold. That is not the problem.
The big problem here is your Sister's map is a locked map (came with her unit) and cannot be
"shared" with your unit. Garmin does this to protect their sales otherwise ppl will share their maps.

Forum regulations does not allow the discussion of "alternative" routes
