Hi,

You can update map for your device thru http://www.garmin.com.sg. This map release quarterly by Garmin.

You also can update you map using MSM bi-weekly map release which more updated from here.

* Please follow the instruction from the download page to update your map.

For map in other region (ie Asean map), please go to Garmin Online Store to get it. You will be charged to get these map.

For major roads & highway, probably enough. Maps released by garmin singapore, usually having data 3-4 months back.

But for certain towns where got high development rate, you recommended to download MSM bi-weekly map release.

255W came with lifetime map updates only for Garmin MSM map. For Garmin City Navigator, free map updates only applicable one year from the unit first satellite acquisition (after that period, you hv to pay). I still update & use my 255W occasionally with MSM NT v7.77 copied into SD-Card slot. The limitation with MSM bi-weekly release are without "Highway Mode" & low count of Junction View (JCV)

If you want to use City Navigator map, you might as well buy new GPS device with nüMaps Lifetime subscription included.

I'm intending to purchase a Garmin Drive 51 LM from the US. Would anyone know if MSM maps would work? Thanks.
