Let see... you there's a few choices of GPS Maps available for Windows Mobile that has Malaysia Map.

1. Garmin Que - Using MalsingMaps
2. MapKing 2007 -using MalsingMaps
3. MioMap/IGO - proprietary (not so updated)

I would suggest u use Garmin Que for the start since both MapKing 2007, MioMap and IGO are commercial. Also, i read that some pple complain MapKing doesn't work so well with TyTn II where its refresh rate is slow.

To install Garmin Que, kindly refer to the wiki located here...

http://www.malsingmaps.com/wiki/index.p ... e_software

If you're stuck somewhere on the process of installing, just scream for help again :)

Some side notes, Download the Open (unlocked) maps since you are a newbie.

Everything is free. You don't need a serial number for the Open or unlocked maps. Locked maps are free as well but you need to contribute for the unlock code.

HTC TyTN II in Malaysia and Singapore comes with MapKing R12 bundle that includes Malaysia or Singapore maps. Didn't you find MapKing R12 CD and QuickSetup manual in your HTC TyTN II box? :-k

the file can't open? you open the install in your pda or windows?

You should run the installer in windows ...

or you could have an option to trade with my dopod 838 pro and Holux GPSlim 236 ... comes preinstalled with MapKing, MioMap and Garmin Que

hehehe
