Thanks for this Leon. Didn't realise that Google had enabled routing on their maps. #-o Always thought it was just for the US. Seems to be working generally well, though IMHO it isn't as good as Garmin/MSM. It seems to know street numbers as well. I wonder who they tied up with to get this data - streetdirectory.com?

My 5 cents opinion. Good for pre-trip planning but for in-car navigation, not too pratical. You will need wifi / gprs to access data and unless you are on an unlimited plan it is going to cost you money. GPS units already have the maps in hardware memory. I had tried this n Blackberry and it is costly. Furthermore if you are somewhere where cellphone signals are weak or non-existent then you are out of luck for map data updates.

You may wish to try out their mobile application on your PDAs too. IMHO, it's cool, but as SilverBeauty pointed out, it is not very practical due to its dependency on the availability of an Internet connection.

I have the mobile version in my PPC, but :cry: no Malaysia maps on Google Maps to try on. Well even connected on wifi it's pretty slow (map loading).

This would be very useful for those who had already subscribed for unlimited blackberry. It can actually hook up the GPS in your PDA too!
