Hi all...

I'm using Dopod 818 pro + iBlue 737 btgpsr (MTK Chipset) + Mapking2007.
Overclock at 221MHZ.
Free mem before run mapking2007 arround 18 - 20MB.
After running Mapking2007, mem available 7 - 9MB.

The problem is "car" in the map moving slower by 2 seconds
while moving. I noticed if I'm really at the junction, the "car" inside the map is still
behind .
Driving not so fast la... just arround 80kph.

Also noticed when driving, example at 100kph, the indicator stated lest 10kph. (90+ kph).

is it natural?

how about garmin 10x ?

does it relate to PDA or BTGPSR performance? or Bluetooth . iBlue 737 only support 1.1 i guess.

:$gone: 10x :$gone: 60CSX :$gone:

I also got same refresh rate, about 1-2 second behind. My PDA speed is 416Mhz, i think it is faster enough. Maybe the communication between our PDA & satellite 1 or 2 second late. Anyone know? Please share.

I think it is natural. I have 2 cars, One car when driving 110kph, the GPS show 112kph, another car when driving 110kph, GPS show 105kph. I think the GPS speed is accurate but our speedo meter not correct. For my first car I already reset the speedo meter to be almost accurate during driving  It is dangerous attempt, don try it at home   How I do it? Tell u later...

(1) Speedometer, on stock car, is always more than actual speed.. So nobody can sue car manufacturer if they kenna speeding ticket.

(2) Updating of map has something to do with speed. Map update is usually 1 update per second.. and I think there are some algorithm inside that prevents the "car" from moving backwards or sideways all the time, within a small tolerance. Something like a stability program in your digital camera...

So you calculate yourself.. 90km/h, 1 second is how far apart..you will know how much error your map update is prone to.

you can try this.. on small roads, drive slowly, at 40km/h.. stop at a junction.. you will find it is more "accurate"...

I have even tried, when on active routing. I do e-brake.. the 'car' in my GPS show I am in the middle of the junction liao.. cos when you are routing, the alogorithm has "predictive" movements, as compared to when it is not routing and just updating your location..

You are driving your car at 100kph.

You PDA is riding a bicycle trying to catch up.
