Re: Possible to Add Additional Spoken Language?

#11 Post by acesgoplaces » Thu Apr 03, 2008 2:54 am

Having the exact same problem on my nuvi 200 as well.

Mine is a nuvi 200 INDONESIA version (bought from Changi Airport)
SW ver. 3.60
Audio ver. 2.00
GPS SW ver. 2.60m

Anyone knows the answer to this?

Lost4ever is correct, there's no Bahasa Malaysia voice for Garmin, but for non-TTS VPM voice files, you can actually record your own voice and create a VPM file to be used in Garmin device/software that does not support TTS. See previous discussion at: viewtopic.php?p=40623#p40623

I found it here... but not in bahasa.. It in Indonesia

http://rapidshare.com/files/92753338/Ga ... onesia.rar

backup your original voice English_American_.vpm in your garmin/voice folder somewhere else.

Then urar the indonesia voice and rename it to English_American_.vpm , copy it to garmin/voice folder. Make sure you safe your original voice because you may need to install it again if you dont like indonesia voice.
