Re: Garmin EDGE newer models - 605 and 705

I just got mind over the weekend. Its definitely a much much needed upgrade from my 305!

In fact, the 705 is also a good "handheld" - as its a much smaller gpsr than the colorado ;)

Yes you can but is difficult to use if you were to look for addresses...

Cheers, Kelvin.

thanks for reply.

i am planning to use for my bicycle ride.
Currently i am using 2 devices for this purpose.

1) Polar Heart rate monitor S510 with cadence and speed sensor, unfortunately without altimeter and barometer function
2) GPSr 60csx, so basiclly for cyling tracking, to monitor the altimeter and barometer of the track.. + the gps function.

i am thinking, by having edge 705, it will cover both of the item 1 and 2 function....so it can reduce the gagdets to bring during the ride... means save the energy?????? =P~ =P~

regards

Hey there. I'm a new user for Edge 705 also. Looking forward to seeing you on the road ;-)

Previously was using the Edge 305... actually I'm not sure why I upgraded also. Will most likely come in useful when travelling up to M'sia.

can anyone tell me if the malsingmaps will work on an Edge 705? Are there any tricks to the download/install process for the 705? Anything I should know before I try?

PS: if these maps will work, will they give me street address and driving direction info?
