Bro,
What GPS SW is installed in your P100?
:-?[/quote]

Installed Garmin mobile XT and Mapking 2007.
Mapking - unable to detect GPS
Garmin - Detected GPS at com4 but can't get satellite signal.
Hope it is not hardware problem.

Bro,

For Garmin MXT, since you are purchase the SD Card version, you are not suppose to use the internal GPS. And for your case with already downloaded SW, you may pair with Garmin 10X to pair with so that to get the GPS signal.

For Mapking2007, you have to go Tools/More/Option/Gps to check and do the proper setting here to detect your internal GPS, But with Trial SW, you have 3 days.
Good Luck & hope it help.
Good Luck

Bro,

Try for longer time!
sometimes it takes 10 minutes to fix to GPS signal. Go to outdoor open space, on your device & wait.....

My P100 is very tough one, even when the casing is peeling off, it still provide me the gps signal. So just wait for the signal to come

Thanks all..
I can fix satellite signal but only when i'm in outdoor.
i put my GPSr Holux M1000 side by side with P100 (indoor) , Holux can fix gps signal easily but P100 does not.
Is it normal for Dopod P100?

Bro,
It is VERY normal as the GPS device is supposed to use at OUTDOOR. I do heard about the Holux M1000 with a very good reception & quick fix.
Happy GPSing

Hi all,
I wonder what kind of connector Dopod P100 use. Can you all suggest me a compatible external antenna for Dopod P100.
