I tried many ways to mount my X10 on my windscreen to get a fast sat fix and eventually found a cheap and effective way - small plastic hook with sucker - as shown in the pic below. I tried mounting the X10 on the sun visor but after several mins, I could not get a fix. However once I get a sat fix as shown in the pics, I could transfer the X10 to the sun visor, and the fix is maintained without much problems.

I don't know but I think so since it is enclosed in plastic.

jchoong,
you might want to try to 'get a fix' first by rotating the sun visor out so that it faces the sky. After you get a fix, you close the sun visor. That way, you don't need to do any transfer.

Reframe,

I tried flipping over the sun-visor so the 10X is facing the sky. However my windshield's top section is covered by dark V-Kool, and probably this is causing the difficult sat fix.
