For Garmin 1350 bought in the US, there are several maps that can be used.

However, after hanging out here for several weeks, I'm still confused about the differences between the maps and and which I should be using.

Will be very grateful if someone can help list the differences, pros & cons of the following maps :

MSM NT 2010.20
MSM NT v5.13

gmapsupp_v440_Raya
gmapsupp_Raya

gmapsupp_v440_1460
gmapsupp_v440

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks very much

The MSM NT 2010.xx map is compiled by Garmin using MSM data on a quarterly basis with features like JCV and LA which are viewable provided you have a localised set. This map requires unlock codes.

The MSM NT v5.xx map is compiled by MSM using Garmin compiler on a more regular basis i.e. about weekly or fortnightly. Hence, it is more up-to-date than the MSM NT 2010.xx map. However, currently, the JCV is limited to only a few areas in MY. In future, JCV and LA will be more comprehensive and are viewable on any device regardless of version (localised or otherwise) as long as the device supports such features. This map does not require any unlock code.

gmapsupp_v440_Raya
gmapsupp_Raya

gmapsupp_v440_1460
gmapsupp_v440

These maps are the forerunner to the MSM v5.XX map and were compiled using third party cgpsmapper compiler. Currently, they are overtaken by the MSM v5.xx map.

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks very much
