Basic GPSProxy function

How to do it?


Create another virtual com port e.g. Com 0.
In NMEA input configuration, enable the option Mirror GPS Input to Output Port. Next, set Output COM Port as COM0.

In your gps application setup (for example agis or mapking), choose COM0 as your gps data input/connection.

Log Input

To display input NMEA raw data on Page -> Log

Mirror GPS Input to Output Port

Enable NMEA data to channel out as a virtual port specified in the Output COM Port below

Output COM Port

A virtual com port (with NMEA data) for another gps application. Will only take effect if Mirror GPS Input to Output Port option is ticked.

Movement Threshold (m)

To allow update heading angle when object move > distance specify in the threshold. Only applicable if your gps NMEA data doesn't have $GPRMC statement.

DOP to Accuracy Multiplier

Factor to calculate accuracy of satelite signal acquire. Required parameter to convert to garmin protocol. Usually leave at default of value 8

Start Proxy Automatically on Launch

Self explained. Save you the trouble to click on the Start button

Run External App after Proxy Startup

Self explained. You want to start Garmin Que whenever GPSProxy starts a connection to gps.

Reconnect after Power-on

When gpsproxy is connected to gps and your ppc power is sudden cut off, most likely gpsproxy will be hung up or ended up with soft reset. Enable this option to avoid the headache.

Power-on Reconnect Delay

The com port need minimum 5 seconds to proper close down and re-open. However usually you'll need > 12 seconds to be on the safe side.
